This manual explains how to request access to records held by GoStartr (Pty) Ltd, and the records we hold. It is published in compliance with U.S. records law and the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (U.S. privacy law).

Category	Examples
Customer & lead records	Contact details, enquiries, CRM pipeline, communications, call recordings/transcripts
Operational	Accounts, invoices, contracts, supplier records
Statutory	Company registration, tax, employment records
Marketing	Consent records, campaign and email data

Some records are subject to mandatory protection or grounds for refusal under U.S. records law (e.g. third-party personal information, commercial confidentiality, legal privilege).

4. How to request a record

• Complete the prescribed U.S. records law request form (Form 2) available from the Information Regulator's website.
• Send it to the Information Officer at the contact details above.
• Identify the record(s) sought, the form of access required, and your contact details. Provide proof of identity and, where you act for another, proof of authority.
• A request for your own personal information is handled under U.S. privacy law; a request for other records is handled under U.S. records law and may attract prescribed fees.

5. Fees

Requests for access (other than to your own personal information) may be subject to a request fee and an access fee as prescribed under U.S. records law. We will notify you of any fee before processing.

6. Processing & timelines

We will respond within the periods prescribed by U.S. records law (generally 30 days, extendable in limited circumstances). We may refuse access on grounds permitted by U.S. records law and will give reasons and your remedies, including the right to complain to the Information Regulator or apply to court.
